About the Teacher

I am so excited to be the new Science Teacher here at Ford Elementary School. Both of my children are students here at Ford.  I have a daughter, Katie, who is in the third grade and a son, Sean who is in Kindergarten. For the past 3 years, I have been active in the Environmental Science program here at Ford and served as the Earth Parent Chairperson last year. Prior to taking time off to stay home with my children, I was a Science Teacher at McEachern High School and a Clinical Microbiologist at Grady Hospital. I have a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and a Master of Education Degree, with a focus in Science, from Georgia State University. I have been a proud supporter of the Science Lab since it was created, and I am honored to be able to work with ALL of our students and encourage their natural scientific curiousity. It is a joy to see their excitment.
